How crazy is that?
I have had no free time to post, my apologies!! Leah is doing amazing. She's walking, talking, calling everything "dadeeeeee" and loves to wake up about 30 mins early now so she can snuggle in bed with us while we all wake up. She loves to "perch" like a little bird on our laps while we feed her breakfast...and at dinner she will eat almost everything but tommatoes or bell peppers or spagetti lol. She loves to be tickled, loves to play hide and seek, and loves to be held...constantly lol. We're slowly trying to get her out of that habit. She has her "baby" who's name is Ruffles. He's this super soft plush puppy that she sleeps with and carries around if she's feeling fussy. The only real time she's fussy is if she's hungry. SUCH a change from when she was 1-3 months lol! She's a really happy baby and we couldn't be prouder parents. We're going to have her b-day party on the 21st...a "Where the wild things are" party! Im totally excited!
Oh and she has 8 teeth!!
Ahh all of my photos of her are at home on my laptop...i'll have to post them soon.

Me and Jason are doing very well, both trying to keep truckin on the "opening our own business" thing. Its tough, but we'll make it!

Time flying by me
Last night I watched my daughter fall asleep in my arms, she is the exact perfect length for her head to cradle in the crook of my arm, and for my hand to hold her bottom. I realized at one intense moment that pretty soon...she wont be able to fit like that any more, and that intense fear of change (that inevitably happens!)had me swarming with tears! She will be 4 months old tommorow and it blows my mind that she is already that old. I thought I would type out some things about her while I had a free moment here at work.
Dear Leah,
When you awake every morning you grin so intensly that your whole body is enveloped by it, contorting to a comical banana shape and your eyes nearly shut because of your smile. It makes my whole body buzz with love and pride to see how amazingly happy you are...in the morning lol! Once you wake up you start "squawking". I call it this, because you sound like a...cross between a cat meowing and a duck or something, it is very comical and you often suprise yourself with the level of sound you can produce. You love to face outward at the world and stand straight up on top of me or Daddy's belly and if a knuckle is anywhere in sight you will ATTACK it and gnaw like a hungry grinning hobo. You are a VERY hungry baby, and will eat like a starving ethiopian even if you had just ate 2 hours ago. We have learned that you are very much into sharing your meal, making sure if we have clean clothing on (and especially if you do) we smell like you. Daddy hurries and cleans your spit up with lighting speed, but I just smile and laugh at you and clean it up at my own pace, as you are still grinning as drool and spit up is still trailing out of your mouth. You love to sit in a bouncy chair and watch me get ready in the mornings, be it in the bathroom or when I sit you on top of the bed and do a "mommy's getting dressed, what should I wear" dance. You love LOOOOVE to get belly kisses and raspberries from your Daddy, and will open your mouth in a "mock" laugh when I try to tickle your face with my hair. You love to be held like a football, with your back to our bellies. You are ADDICTED to the outside world, love to reach up at the tree's as well. We often take you to the gym with us and we go round and round the track and you sqwack and grin at passerby's...you are missed there when we dont come regularly! Your Granna and Gampa keep you at least once a week (so Mommy and Daddy can have some us time) and you love staying with them. Most nights when I rock you to sleep, you like to curl your hand around my finger, or touch my mouth. A lot of the times you love to burry your face in my soft robe and fall asleep. Keeping you asleep when I put you in your crib is an olympic event however, and when done successfully, Mommy feels like a rockstar when you sleep ALL night! Mommy and Daddy take turns getting up and checking on you when you awake and fuss at night. We are really great about helping each other out with you. You little miss, are a handful, but you are completly worth it. We love you so much and cant wait to see your personality develop.
Love,
Mommy

Amazing little sounds
My wonderful husband takes care of our baby thru out the week while I am at work, today Leah was extra good and started coo'ing and he got it on video. I am so proud of my little girl!!
Edit: I wanted to add something that I wrote earlier on a Mom's forum. I noticed that I really am not like a lot of typical Moms. I work, Jason stays home. And yanno what, that is ok! We make it work. So I wrote out why I am a good mommy.
I am not the typical stay at home mom, nor do I have the typical baby so...here goes:
I am a great Mommy because I am 26 years old and I had a natural childbirth in my own home with out any drugs. She came out completly alert and peaceful. My now gyno tells me that people my age just do NOT do that now days, it impowered me all over again.
Altho the first month and a half of her life she spent screaming, I always knew when to take a breather to calm down so I can come back and help her. It was the most stressed I've ever been in my life...but it gets better every day.
I am a good mommy for figureing out that swaddling was the best thing ever invented for her!! We call it "burrito time" lol.
I am a good mommy because I realized it was ok to bottle feed. I could not produce breast milk and my baby was starving. We tried everything we could to get the boobs working, and it was ok to realize that it wasn't going to work.
I am a good mommy because I let whomever is holding her do what they think is right (unless I can tell it is something she hates) to let them bond with her. I am not over protective, I want her to love other people besides me and my DH.
I am a good mommy because even tho I work full time, I get up with daddy in the early morning feedings and change her diaper and make sure he has everything for the feeding and is comfortable.
I am a good mommy because we follow her schedule, which is usally pretty normal, but it allows us to understand her needs better.
I ask for help when I need it!
I have an easier time putting her down to bed at night, and she stays asleep longer. My DH is better at it in the morning.
Even tho Leah is my world, my husband is my universe and we respect the fact that grandparents are amazing baby sitters when we need some alone time.
When she has been screaming all day and I come home to an exhausted husband, I can take her in my arms and I can feel her finally relax and calm down and most times she falls asleep in my arms.
I am a great mommy because the sound of my voice some times makes her smile.
I am a great mommy because even tho I do not write down everything she does, I capture her thru pictures and video. I think each person should be allowed to do their own thing differently ;)
I am a great mommy because I do not compare myself to anyone else. I know what MY baby needs and I give her my all. I wasn't so sure the first month of her life of what the hell I'd gotten myself into, was scared ####, but with lots of patience and love...i've become a completly different woman, a better woman, since having my baby.

Back at work!
Well that last post was a drag, wasn't it? Sheesh. Sorry about that.
So, updates! Leah is jusssst about 7 weeks old. She's got more personality than I could of ever imagined. Last night after her being up ALL day with daddy (and believe me he tried to get her to sleep) I decided "hey! lets cover her eyes up so she'll stay relaxed and maybe go to sleep!" ha. So I put a little tobbogan on her, she didnt' like that at all at first, but once she called down I took her and put her in the swing and bundled her up, paci was in, she was good to go to sleepytown, right?
5 mins later I walk back in there to check her and she's got the tobbogan nearly off her head, paci is no where to be found, and she's just swaying, looking at me going 'is that all you got mom?' it was pretty histerical. Then later on I rocked her till she fell asleep, was putting her in her crib and I looked down at her and she's got one eye open, and lmao, it was rolling around. I swear she looked like a drunken one-eyed-pirate. I could NOT stop laughing, and that of course woke her back up. Owell, the joys of it all!
So, yes, I am back at work. I've figured out since being back (this is my 2nd day) that people thrive on negetivity here. If your not pissed off and hating being here, no one talks to you lol, or they look at you weird. Im grateful for having this job. I used to LOATHE coming here, and I do to an extent still, but I am very humble for my paycheck. So, instead of falling into the miserable mode of conversation, I turn whatever is being talked about into something positive. I think it weirds people out. So, I've just been listening to music and keeping my brain active.
Speaking of keeping my brain active, I shall now unvail my new business!

Yes folks, thats right, I am finally following my passion. I have 2 clients this weekend, and more on the way. I am so excited. I even opened a business checking account! That makes it more real for me. So, whomever reads this (if anyone does) go check out my website and share it to anyone you know (of any age!) that needs some unique photographs taken.
Ok thats all for now, must go home to my amazing husband <3
